Favourite author: I really like the work of Brene Brown, who researches and writes about shame and vulnerability. Her work is very accessible and full of anecdotes about her own experiences. You can also see her talking about her work on you tube.

Hello, I’m Kim, a relational psychotherapist with over five years’ experience working with adults and young people, both online and in person.
People often come to me when life feels heavy or uncertain when anxiety, low self-esteem, loss or relationship difficulties are getting in the way of how they want to live. You might be going through a period of change such as illness, bereavement, a separation, or simply feeling stuck and unsure where to turn next.
My experience spans several settings: a cancer charity supporting individuals and families through diagnosis, treatment and bereavement; a community organisation working with trauma, identity and work related stress; and a young people’s counselling service helping teenagers and young adults navigate life’s transitions, relationships and self-worth.
I believe therapy is most helpful when it feels real and collaborative. Building trust and safety comes first from there, we find a way of working that feels right for you. Some people prefer a practical, solution-focused approach; others need time to explore deeper experiences and emotions.
I draw on a range of relational and evidence-based therapies, adapting our work to your individual needs. If you’d like to get a sense of what working together might be like, I offer an initial conversation where you can ask questions and see if it feels like a good fit.
